| English study is being presented new challenges by such circumstances as the rapid development of globalization, the promotion of competence-oriented education and the reform of the English education in the domestic universities. Based mainly on this background, theory and practice of the intercourse between teachers and students in Chinese and western history are approached in this paper with the purpose to reconstruct the inter-subjectivity in English teaching and learning. The ultimate goal of this paper is to form a "rule+ culture" learning mechanism. With the combination of traditional and communicative teaching methods, grammatical rules'learning is stuck to, but more emphasis is put on cultural acquisition. Meanwhile, the motivation of learning a certain foreign language is made up and the instrumental motivation is corrected by means of affective filter. This paper will do some help to explore a feasible way to enhance the comprehensive cultural literacy and intercultural communication competence on the basis of reconstructed inter-subjectivity between teachers and students.The points of view are illustrated by studying and analyzing the books, dissertations, papers, essays as well as the cases. |
