Xiang Si was a famous poet in the Dynasty of Late-Tang , who had been appreciated of the famous poet Zhang Ji. Yang Jingzhi praised Xiang Si everywhere also. But such a reputed person has been little research. The thesis aims to make a systematic and in-depth discussion of his life, friends and poems. Then we will explore his position in the late Tang Dynasty poetry and the reasons why he was not heard later.This article divides into four parts:The chapter one outlines Xiang Si's biography and his friends. First, determines his hometown and inferences in his life experiences through studying historical records and items of the poems of Xiang Si. Secondly, select the acquaintances figure in Xiang Si's poetry and classify these figures, thus infer his personality characteristics and ideological state.The second part is the spread of the poems written by Xiang Si, and his lost poems. By carding the poetry's bibliographic and clustering after the Tang Dynasty,clarify the spread of Xiang Si's poetry. And to describe the main versions. Items were also scattered and lost during the circulation, through identify the difference of several controversial poems to determine the lost poems of Xiang Si.The third chapter is the classified studies and the artistic style of Xiang Si'si poetry. First of all, the poetry will be divided into current affairs poetry, scenery poetry, religious poetry and communication poetry by contacts. These poems reflect the reality spirit, love of nature, positive thinking of the Confucian going to career, and the frustrations of melancholy. Second, Xiang Si inherited the fresh and natural poetry style of Zhang Ji, ancient poetry critics have a higher evaluation of him. This article analysis the artistic characteristics of Xiang Si's Poetry from conceive, artistic conception and gorgeous language. The fourth part is the position and acceptance of Xiang Si and his poems. He not only inherited the poetry style of middle Tang Dynasty, but also exploited the style of Late-Tang, so his position can not be ignored. However, his poems have shortcomings. We try to find out the reasons why Xiang Si was drowned through analysis the evaluation of ancient scribes.
