This thesis is an influence and correspondence review of the fiction of Elieen Chang and .Elieen Chang is a famous writer in contemporary literary world, who loves from her childhood. This paper will firstly analyze Eileen Chang's unique interpretation of , and then explore the feature of the two versions of, which was translated into both Mandarin version and English version by Elieen Chang. Then, I'll research the reason that Elieen Chang loves for so many years and the reason that has never been recognized. Finally, I'll discuss the influence and the correspondence between Elieen Chang's fiction and by the comparison. Especially Elieen Chang's style of the latter fiction that turned to plain and natural, which was undoubtedly impacted by, and which corresponded with deeply.In the late Qing era of social transformation, the imperial examination system was abolited. Traditional literati losed the cultural system to change the fate. In the late nineteenth century of Shanghai, the novels of clients and prostitutes came into being. of Han Bangqing was a special one of the courtesan novel in the late Qing era. The complete novel was created by the dialect of Wu, which escaped the intrinsic mode of scholar-beauty and used the scouring line drawing to depict courtesan's treacherous and desolate. Traditional researchers had lots of comments and interpretation of, while Elieen Chang had unique interpretation of it, and then we can find out why Elieen Chang loves from her childhood. The original point of Elieen Chang's views forexpressed in the following respects:first of all, she analyze the reasons was out of fashion with brilliant views; secondly, she proposed the Real theme "love"of;thirdly, she declaimed the hidden essence of the fiction with her understanding; lastly, she thought the real literary fun should show human light in the plain and true circumstances.Then, the author will discuss Elieen Chang's Mandarin and English translation of , interpretate the feature of the two translations, and find out the opinion and suggestion which Elieen Chang wanted to amend the structure and details of the original novel. The Mandarin translation of Elieen Chang change the original novel from sixty-four chapters to sixty chapters, the deletion parts were the missing parts Liubannong indicated. The English translation of Elieen Chang reserved the whole chapters in the original novel. The translation of the names, the changes of the construction and the small changes in the English translation showed the power of Elieen Chang. The author will also discourse the reasons Elieen Chang praised highly of , which had important relations with her preference for the real life, the true relationship with humanity and the context of traditional Chinese fiction. And analyze why had never been recognized, which was recovered several times and always rapidly sinking. The natural,real and anti-legend fiction of had developed to a peak, but the author Caoxueqing passed away early, and then the public preferred the legend reading fun in the continue writing of Gao'e. So the public had no interest in which appeared after a hundred years.Elieen Chang insisted on the translation of , trying to find the lost tradition of Chinese fiction.The core discussion is in the Chapter 3, which juxtapose and analysis the fiction of Elieen Chang and , and dissert their influence and correspondence. Eileen Chang was good at finding the ordinary people from the legend and finding the legend from the ordinary people, which was correspondent with traditional Chinese fiction deeply. The fiction of Elieen Chang and are iso-convergence structure, both of which were inherited by traditional Chinese fiction. I will discuss the aesthetic correspondence of Elieen Chang's fiction and . Hanbangqing and Elieen Chang both expressed the simple psychology of humanity and love, who blending ordinary and legend to the plain and nature narrative. Thus the author will futher probe into Elieen Chang's style of the latter fiction which turned to plain and natural.Plain was not only the changes of Elieen Chang in her novel style, but also her ultimate questioning of humanity. Also her later novels such like,< Happy Meeting>, were the special explanations of the another theme in "blind marriage".The later novel of Elieen Chang named dissected the good and the evil of humanity in the plain and nature life. The change of her fiction style was undoubtedly impacted by, and which corresponded with deeply.
