Combination Of Chinese Traditional Decorative Patterns And Public Art, And Application

With the economic development and urbanization, outdoor space has been provided with the community. Meanwhile, more and more uniformity public arts have appeared. People hope the unique charm and aesthetic value of the traditional Chinese art are integrated with the artistic works of the public environment in order to achieve nationalization, personality. Therefore, the innovation of the traditional decorations is inevitable trend of urban public art, the improvement of the public art also makes urban living environment and the environment art advanced.Decorative patterns as an art form, based on the order, organization, routinization and idealizing, it changes and beautifies the objects to form in line with human needs, and the unity of the human aesthetic ideal form of beauty in harmony. Decorative patterns have universal applicability and the integration of artistic ability, which, as a norm and a basic nature, can be used in technology, architecture, painting, sculpture, etc. Chinese traditional decorative pattern is one of the traditional carrier of culture, which reflects the aesthetic and ideals of the nation. As a new artistic medium, the public art can convey cultural information. So, combined with traditional decorative patterns, the public art will play an important role on the heritage of traditional culture and innovative design techniques.In this paper, we discuss traditional decorations and modern public art, and explain their characteristics, form of common and common culture respectively. Besides, we point out the idea on the combination of public art and traditional decorations. We analysis the traditional decorative patterns and public art concepts in some aspects, such as origin, development and structure characteristics though the text data; and then we analysis public art in the application of research through concrete examples and traditional decorative designs, to provide theoretical basis; we achieve to expand traditional decorative elements of the innovation and find the meeting point between the both, and achieve integration between the two to meet the elements of traditional art heritage and updates to enhance the taste of public art and cultural purposes. The paper mainly research in the following:First: We sort out the broad development context and the historical and cultural origins by studying the traditional decorative patterns and collecting the text and data. We summarize the status of public art features and trends on public art. Second: The paper based on theoretical knowledge on the status of public art to analysis and summarize the usage of the traditional decorative pattern.Third: By the previous analysis, we summarize the problems of the current traditional decorations in the public art application, and we point out the new idea on the traditional decorative elements with a combination of public art that is a long history of traditional decorative patterns in modern public art display a new vitality.
