Fengxiaogang Film Narrative Strategies

Since the first new year's film The.Dream.Factory made by director Fengxiaogang was released in the year 1997, the new year's films made by Feng has become the most famous band standing in the Chinese films' center. Feng has hold the rule of market economy tightly, Feng has made the films only for the audience's demand, Feng checked his own films just like he was normal audience,beside these,and what's more important is that he used the narrative strategy correctly and made the normal thing becoming unfamiliarity.The narrative strategy used by Feng was highlighted by the time,the space,the Structure and the form. My paper will analyse Feng's eight films during his 11 years and integrate Feng's films into a rule. The papar contains 5 parts.Part 1, The Hidden Time,in this part I will study the narrative time,the time distortion and the time externalization of Feng's films so that I can explain Feng's narrative strategy by the time level.Part 2,The Appearing Space,in this part I will study the narrative space,the multi-dimensional narrative showed by the modeling space and the supporting role played by the light and the color of Feng's films so that I can grasp Feng's narrative strategy by the space level.Part 3 ,The Changing Focusing,in this part I will study the native visual focusing,the Secondary visual focusing and the ubjective no-visual focusing of Feng's films so that I can discuss the function of Feng's changing focusing. Part 4, the Multi-level narrative structure,in this part I will classify the narrative structure of Feng's film by the normal standard and explain the relationship between the narrative strategy and the narrative structure. Part 5,The Unclear Narrative Form,in this part I will analyse the weakening of classical narrative form,the fusion of 3 narrative forms and the Landscape film's trend of modern narrative context and explain the relationship between the narrative strategy and the narrative form.From the study of Feng's narrative strategy,we can see the Gains and Losses of Feng's new-year-film,we may make some suggestion for Feng's new-year-film's narrative strategy,and we may also make some suggestion for other film.
