Yunnan Minority Use Of Graphic Elements In The Design Of Furnishings

Because of their historical background and the creator's the spiritual beliefs and other reasons, graphic elements of Yunnan's ethnic minorities are different from the Central Plains'traditional presenting, there is a different graphic styles, characteristic of the mystery and diversity is the focus of attention. In Yunnan ethnic minorities graphic and pattern arts, the beauty of artistic conception patterns is another kind of style. There are 25 ethnic minorities in Yunnan, each nation has their own cultural characteristics, so there is their different ethnic charm in graphic arts. But through individual art researching, we can conclude that they contain the common internal factor under the different representations. There are characteristics of presenting meaning and symbols in Yunnan Minority traditional graphic elements. There are Art features of Geography in their shape characteristics, cultural meaning and spiritual meaning.It is helpful and can play another role for the development of modern graphic design, especially for modern furnishings design. The unique art of ethnic graphic elements is able to bring extraordinary charm for modern furnishings design.It helps there is the unique beauty of the territorial boundariesthere in modern furnishings design in order to draw out from the plight of the form.In this thesis, to the phenomenon which is the global design symbols' homogenization has brought the homogenization of local design, I brought out to research and application to the Minority Nationalities'graphical elements for the home furnishings design.Through analysis to the minority ethnic groups and traditional graphic elements'semantic context, suggested that the national regionalization symbols can be introduced into modern furnishings design, and I made a lot of case analysis in order to explain the feasibility of the use and effectiveness of Minority Nationalities'graphic elements in the modern furnishings design.
