Based on the research of coffin paintings of Qinghai province and combined with the history and Archaeological data ruled by Tibetan of this area, the paper does a comprehensive study on these coffin paintings.Through a more in-depth discussion of the image and artistic style of these coffin paintings, the paper argues that with the observation and understanding of the social life of all the classes as the blueprint, the artists at that time arranged the special the contents of the whole picture with creative ideas. It showed us a vivid picture of social life at that time. These coffins paintings reflect a phenomenon that it was a result of integration of various cultural factors, not the product of a single cultural factor. To some extent, these coffin paintings also reflect a social phenomenon that there was multi-ethnic co-existence in this area under the rule of Tubo regime. It had precious value for us to study the folk customs, arts and culture at that time.This paper also discusses the reasons of the emergence of cultural diversity in Qinghai province. Due to the unique geographical environment, diverse national culture, change of the Ruling regime and with the shock and radiation of Silk Road, this region became a multi-cultural conflicts focus and integration place. On the whole, it showed us a plurality and open cultural identity. Diverse cultural was the microcosm of collisions between the various cultures under the turbulent period of history and the complex historical background. These coffin paintings give us an accurate understanding of tombs culture and they have very important significance in political, economic and cultural conditions of this region under the rule of Tubo.
