| Since Sven-Goran Eriksson put forward the concept of self-identity, the development and affecting factors of self-identity have been a theme of continuous interests of psychologists at home and abroad. The researchers mainly from the four approaches, the inner meaning, the development process, formation mechanism, influencing factors, and several-pronged, to research. Although a wealth of research results has been made, there are many inconsistencies during the current study, such as the different meanings of self-identity from different point of view explained by different researchers; gender, grade, family situation, personality and other factors have influences on self-identity. The identity crisis has gained much more concern compared with other areas. In this paper, we will discuss the relation between the formation of identity status and identity crisis. Our study is divided into two parts, the first part, by using of the questionnaire method, we attempt to explore the development of self-identity status of college students, self-identity crisis they faced and the relationship between them two; The second part, we use the experimental method try to explore the formation mechanism of identity .In the first part, 354 college students were selected as participants, and after T test, chi-square analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis we obtain the following conclusions:1. Distribution of self-identity status of college students is uneven, the proportion of the students in the identity formation takes only 6.8%, which indicate the development of self-identity of students is not satisfactory.2. Distribution of status of self-identity of students of different genders, new students, family situation and grade has no significant difference, but distribution of the status of self-identity of students of different of different major has significant differences.3. Scores of self-identity crisis of the rural students and urban students achieve significant difference over time perspective, self-awareness, the role of trying, self-confident, understanding and value orientation. And the differences over self-awareness, the role of trying, self-confident, understanding are significantly different. Scores of urban students are significantly higher than rural students; Students of different majors in the dimension of work unable demonstrate significant difference in scores, and scores of liberal arts students were significantly higher than that of science students and art students; Scores of students of different grades have significant differences over time perspective, and Scores of freshmen are higher then that of juniors.4. Scores of the determination of status of self-identity and total score of self-identity crisis are significantly negatively correlated.5. Time perspective, one of dimensions of self-identity crisis, has significant predictive effect over obtain status of identity; time perspective, value orientation, the authority of confusion have significant predictive effect over Identity formation - the authority to accept the status of the middle; self-confident and understand have significant predictive effect over Authority accepted position; self-awareness, the role of attempts and time perspective have significant predictive effect over status of the active delay; time perspective, self-confident and understanding have significant predictive effect over proliferation of identity status; self-confident and understanding of the authority of confusion, Role to try and self-awareness can significantly predict the proliferation of identity - a positive slow down the middle position. In the second part, according to the questionnaire scores, we select a total of 30 students in two groups of students of well-developed identity and unsatisfactorily-developed, after self-experimental study of information processing preferences, we have:1. Whether the development of self-identity is in a better or worse state, individuals tend to link themselves and positive information closely.2. The two tested groups have remarkable difference over incompatible reaction time to judge. |
