As the reform of state-owned assets and enterprises propels deeper,the task of reforming the compensation management system of seniormanagers who are the special--agent of state--owned assets operation in the state-owned enterprises is becoming more and more urgent and arduous. It will fundamentally determine the success of the current state-owned assets and enterprises reform. In recent years, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council as wellas some local governments have made proactive experiments in this aspect and have achieved some useful experiences.This study is aimed at perusing the above-mentioned issue from five chapters:The first chapter emphasizes on the analysis of the path of senior managerscompensation reform that our country has experienced, and the current level of the managers'salary. It points out the imbalance between senior managers'reward, contribution, responsibility and risk. The second chapterelaborates the general theoretical models in thecompensation management reform of the senior managers in state-owned enterprises, especially the special agent relationship of state-owned assets operation, and the social and market attributes of senior managers compensation. The third chapter states the general achievements in the studies and practices of senior managers' compensation management in the world. It makes analysis on the compensation philosophy,general modes and features of senior managers' compensation in different posts. The forth chapter summarizes the limits of our own experiments, and difficulties that faces a deeper reform. characteristics, breakthroughs and makes further description of the last chapter. makes suggestions on how to propel reform.
