According to Marx’s historical materialism, the Chinese Communist Party puts forward the mass line. Historical materialism consciousness refers to points of view that believe the people liberate themselves, serve the people by heart and soul, response all the people and open mind to learn from the people. The party’s mass line refers to political line and organizational line which is "everything for the masses, all rely on the masses" and methods of leadership which is "from the masses to the masses". The mass viewpoint and the party’s mass line is the dialectical unification, adhering to the mass viewpoint and the mass line is the party’s fundamental characteristics. This article will be guided by the Marxism theory, sticks to the method of theory combining with the actual practice, discusses that the party has stated a new understanding of "the people" in the new historical period, the people’s real life and the vital interests are further concerned. The article also analyzes the development course of the party’s mass line, the implementation of the status quo in the new period and the cause of the problems. At present a new session of the CPC central committee, headed by Mr Xi in the whole party carries out the main content of the party’s mass line education practice to oppose the "four winds". However there are still some serious leading cadres digress from the masses, despise the people, formalism and bureaucracy still prevail in the party, the unhealthy practices effect the masses relationship. On the basis, the article puts forward the path of the strategy of the mass line practice. The ruling status of the communist party of China is the choice of history, the people’s choice, in order to maintain and consolidate the party’s ruling status, the party must set up the point of view of the masses and fully affirm the masses are the creator of history, gives full play to people’s historical dynamic action, makes the masses of the people as the success or failure of the final judge, makes the people’s support as the fundamental guarantee of the party’s career flourish; conscientiously implements the party’s mass line, adheres to the people’s main body status, always adheres to the service for the people, improves their work ability; establishes and perfects the system of mass work, promotes the relationship between the institutionalization and standardization.
