Fascism as an indelible wound throughout human history, is an important research subject of Marxist theory. This paper will research the theory of Mihály András Vajda who is a representative of the “Budapest Schoolâ€. According to Marxism, he regarded Fascism as a mass movement. This paper will interpret Vajda’s critique of fascism from the following four aspects. The first part: the previous Marxist theoretic resources of Vajda’s critique of fascism. The second part: the main points of Vajda’s theory. Part three: the comparative perspectives of Vajda’s theory; the significance of Vajda’s theory. Last but not least: the core of Vajda’s critical theory of fascism lies in his redefinition of the nature of fascism. It redivides the social classes in details, using the class analysis of Marxism. Therefore, Vajda’s critique of fascism has an important theoretical contribution. He insisted on Marxist standpoints.It developed Marxist criticism of fascism. At the same time, as a member of the school of Budapest, Vajda shows humanism appeals of Eastern European Marxism in his theory. |
