Marx’s Class Analysis Theory, a research scientific tool and method for studyingChinese class and hierarchy structure, can be applied to analyze social class structure, toformulate the standard of class partition and to explore class consciousness, class action aswell as the relation between class and hierarchy. At the macro level, the Class AnalysisTheory provides a panorama and diachronic perspective to study social class into theessence, however, microscopically speaking, it meets the difficulty digging deeper into theinternal part of hierarchy. With the economic development, China is situating in a fiercesocial transition period with significance changes in class structure, standard of classpartition, and the relation between class and hierarchy. Encountering this fact, it’s ofnecessity to redefine the current context that the Class Analysis Theory is in and apply thetheory in a practical way.The present study conducts the research from the following three perspectives: firstly,it offers definitions of Class Theory, Class conflict and class analysis to form a clear andsound background understanding; secondly, the study targets at analyzing the currentsituation of Marx’s Class Analysis Theory, detecting the changing of its specificapplication in China as well as validating its applicability in current times. This partcarefully describe the applicable changes of the Class Analysis Theory in particularenvironment from both the complexity of class relationship in western countries and thefierce transition in China. It’s disputable that discussing the applicability issue is out of thefact that class partition and class conflict are of clear existence in any class society. Thirdly, the study offers in-depth discussion into the practical application of Class Analysis Theoryin China, detailed exploration into Chinese class structure and rational viewpoint towardsmulti-layer demonstrations of class conflict for the purpose of strengthening the scientificruling foundation by the communist party of China.
