| According to history records and based on the formerresearch achievements, this thesis probes specially intothe Evolution of forests in Fujian through the ages. ThoughFujian province has a very large forest resource and therealso were some relapes in history, the general trend offorest size has been declining all the time for the imbalanceof deforesting and afforesting. The key point to protect thebenign combination of ecological surroundings in Fujian isforest. Once the forest are damaged, the favorableconditions would transform into violent destruction andcause soil erosion. Therefore, there would be the failingof soil fertility, the block of rivers and creeks, and thefrequency of the flood and drought, etc. With the past forreference, it is hoped that the thesis, which has summarizedthe history of the forest evolution in Fujian, will be ofgreat benefit to understand the importance of givingenergetic support to afforestation in subtropical area,enhancing the protection of surroundings and carrying outthe sustaining development strategy. |
