The Study of the Financial Environment of Private High-Tech Enterprises in Zhejiang Province is an in-depth study and expansion of a soft-science project of the same title undertaken by Zhejiang Province Science Department. As a main participator in and author of this project, I felt the importance and urgency of the study of some of the problems with the private high-tech enterprises in our province, while I carried forward a wide research and thorough analysis of these enterprises. At the same time, I also did thorough research and gave much thought to the financial issues with the private high-tech enterprises in Zhejiang Province. With the approval from my instructor, I selected The Study of the Financial Environment of Private High-Tech Enterprises in Zhejiang Province as the subject of my master's degree thesis. By writing this thesis, I can give a conclusion to the yearlong project; more importantly, I can carry on further study and research on some issues of realistic meaning but not yet completely covered or discussed by the project. I hope my work will truthfully and thoroughly present current financial situations of the private high-tech enterprises in Zhejiang province, point out possible problems, and propose relative solutions, all hi an effort to contribute to the further prosperity of private high-tech economies in Zhejiang province.The content of my study can be roughly divided into the following parts: First, It briefly introduces the development of the private high-tech enterprises in Zhejiang province. This includes the definition of the private high-tech enterprises, their characteristics and general law of development, their conditions of development in Zhejiang province. It is the main content of the first chapter, which provides the basis for the ensuing research.Then, through positivist proof, it studies the present financial situation of the private high-tech enterprises in Zhejiang province from both perspectives of demand and supply of capital. In concrete, from the perspective of capital demand, it analyses the financial characteristics of the enterprises classified by their industries, stages of development and scales. From the perspective of capital supply, it did researches in the various financial channels of lending capital, venture capital, private loans, capital market and self-owned capital. This part is covered by chapters two and three.Finally, utilizing questionnaire survey and comparative study, it further analyzed the problems with the financing of the private high-tech enterprises in our province, and proposed several suggestions on policies for the further development of these enterprises. This is the content of chapters four, five and six.The methodologies employed are mainly positivist analysis with substantial use of statistics. The study is based on first-hand questionnaire survey. During the research process, 100 questionnaires were handed out, of which 97 were returned. Using tools like Frequencies, One-Way ANOVA, LSD and AHP, these data, together with data from the Statistics Bureau and the Science Department, were analyzed for the capital demand patterns and obstacles in financing of enterprises of different industries, scales and stages of development. It also did analysis of the policies and measures of improving the financing environment for private high-tech enterprises in Zhejiang provinve.The innovative features of this article are:1. For the first time, it based the analysis on the random sampling and used the positivist method in a thorough and in-depth study of private high-tech enterprises hi Zhejiang province.2. Based on the ANOVA and analysis of the data, it summarized the characteristics and general patterns of the private high-tech enterprises of different industries, scales and stages of development, providing statistical support for the long-lived argument that small and medium sized private high-tech enterprises have difficulties in financing.3.
