The relationship between Capitalism and Socialism has always been in a state of intension. Since the day of its birth, socialism emerged itself as the replace of capitalism; meanwhile, capitalism has never abandoned its armed intervention and peaceful evolution to socialism. The fight between them persisted nearly one century at daggers drawn, which tells us that the best way to develop oneself is to learn from others' strong points to offset one's weakness. The present thesis, in the guideline of Marxist view of seeking truth from fact, using the way of demonstration, analyzes what positive effect the affirmative capitalist fruit have done on the socialism with Chinese characteristic in order to explain that the affirmative capitalist fruit is a very important part of socialism theory with Chinese characteristic. It is a rather hard question for discussion because of little research about it. So, the creative significance is evident.Absorbing affirmative capitalist fruit is a logical choice to develop socialism with Chinese characteristic. However, It does not mean that we betray socialism when inheriting and absorbing capitalist fruit since our revolutionary tutors and leaders have already accepted it to some degree. And, from respective perspectives, they all told us such a truth: socialism can inherit and absorb the capitalist fruit for its own use. In addition, we must know that our modernization started very later and our foundation is weak. Therefore, it is quite necessary to make use of the affirmative capitalist fruit to develop socialism. If not, China would come into trouble like Soviet Union or East Europe, which is not our wish. With the similar presupposition for social development, and under the same space and time, socialism owns a valuable opportunity in absorbing and inheriting capitalist fruit. However, in order to insure what we absorb is affirmative fruit, it is quite necessary to expatiate the defining criteria of the affirmative fruit, the way we use it and its purpose. The author holds that, it is our original intention that, insisting on the principle of being seeking truth from facts, and the value criteria of "three propitiousness ", complying with the aim of "for our use", absorbing the affirmative capitalistfruit on the basis of independence, all serve for the goal of developing socialist China as quickly as possible. According to the defining criteria, affirmative capitalist fruit may be tentatively divided into four parts: science and technology, education, market economy, democractic politics, and humanitarianism.Science and technology, which has no class attribute, can accelerate the speed of social development. Developed firstly in the context and on the basis of modern capitalist productive relationship, science and tech. is of the first importance to be absorbed. According to the great impetus what science and tech. had been acting on economic development of western countries, Deng Xiaoping brought forward in a creative way, such a scientific topic that^science and technology is the first productivity". He pointed out we should make use of capitalist science and technology and its talented person. By using America system of science and technology as reference, we should integrate scientific research and production. According the world trend of legalizing social management, we should manage science and technology in a legalized way, so that the primary form of the system of science and technology with Chinese characteristic would come into being in the very near future. At the same time, education has class attribute. But the western esp. America education could provide us with much experience and revelation. Through learning western experience, China's education is put on strategic position, and its main function had been changed from politics to economy.
