Jewish National State Of Mind And The Question Of Palestine

The Palestine problem is the longest and the most prominent hot question in the contemporary politics in the Middle East. To achieve the peace in the area, we must look into the causes of Arab-Israeli conflict The former articles mainly discussed on external and basic factors , such as Jerusalem borders , settlements water and refugee claims .But it is not studied systematically and thoroughly on the latent factors-national mentality. This articles mainly analyses the Palestine problem from the aspect of the Jewish mentality Jewish nation is a special one It is a very ancient and young nationality , which creates effulgent cultures and bears lots of sufferings. So the special Jewish mentality is formed from their special history. This article can be divided into 3 parts :1 the main Jewish mentality affecting Palestine problem1. Religious feelings . The survival of Jewish is related closely to their national religion. The religious feelings centering on the Jew and the national spirit make the Jewish nation avoid assimilating from other nations and make the Zionism movements successful finally.2. seriously unsafe feelings. The feelings is related closely to the Jewish history. It is the unhappy experiences that made Jewish very susceptible to" security" problem. And the real environments around them made them feel unsafe ,too. So unsafe feelings is a very important factor for the Arab-Israeli conflict.3. Jewish businessmen psychology. The Jewish are the most successful businessmen. This psychology came into being from their history and shown in the present.4. the psychology of depending on big powers. Without it, it is out of thequestion that the Zionism movement can be successful and that Israeli was established and developed.5. other Jewish psychology, such as peace mentality hate mentality etc II Jewish mentality and the Arab-Israeli conflictThe Jewish mentality is shown thoroughly in the five Middle East wars. For example, Jewish seriously unsafe feelings is shown enough, the psychology of depending on big powers is developed maturelyIII Jewish mentality and the peace process in the Middle East.This article mainly analyses on the Egypt-Israel peace negotiation, Palestine-Israel peace negotiation and Syria-Israel peace negotiation. In the Egypt-Israel peace negotiation, the Jewish businessmen psychology is shown sharply ,but the "security" problem is still a most concerned thing. Of cause, other mentality are shown, too. In the Palestine-Israel peace negotiation, it is evident that the big powers is very important. America nearly controlled the whole peace process ,in which the "big Israel idea" influences the peace process strongly and other mentalities are less important relatively. In the Syria-Israel peace negotiation, the "security" problem is the key issue for the Jewish. Israel will not return the Golan Height to Syria because of its strategic significance . In sum, realizing Arab-Israel peace process is very difficult.
