Green University And The Establishment Of The Environmental Management System Implementation And Auditing

Since 1980, human's environmental awareness has been raised. And human has been trying their beat to reduce environmental impact of pollution. Therefore, environmental education is a good way to do those above. In the way universities should play a important even key role. So, a green university is needed for us.In the university, all teachers and students should enhance their environmental awareness at first and keep the their campus clean & advanced environmentally, then to improve and establish green communities and their house-hood and everywhere step by step. So, the green universities are important basement for improving environment quality of all society in a long run. This thesis focuses on background & basic information of environment management system and its auditing for the green universities. In the thesis a framework of a green university is given and discussed in details: Chapter Ⅰ: Reviewing the history of green universities and their audit in the world.Chapter Ⅱ: Introducing conceptions and principles and standards of ISO14000.Chapter Ⅲ: Introducing the process of EMS establishment in the universities.Chapter Ⅳ: Implementation ISO-14000 and it's auditing in a universityChapter Ⅴ: Some problems and shortages for the auditing development in China, such as lack of driving forces are pointed. Some strategies and measures for the green universities are discussed. And some suggestions are given then.At the last two characters of the thesis should be emphasized:1. A new framework of green universities and their auditing, based on analyzing some characters of the green universities in some developed countries;2. A computational modeling program for the auditing process is given.
