So, the discussion about the database has crossed various disciplines and produced relative big shock in the law field.The beginning of this paper explains a few reasons, such as concerning technology, the positive effect from the evolution of society, the negative effects from information abuse, that make the database a hot spot in the society. In this paper, the author give a detailed discuss about the concept, content and characteristics of the database. Besides, after the author differentiate a few different meanings about database arisen from dualistic database in the computer and law fields, we can form a clear cognition to database. Thereafter, the author, combining with an analysis to the right of database, submit corresponding protection ways to the database. Based on the above illustration, the author furthers the theoretical analysis about the property protection of database. But, theoretical study is not the last aim. Only pure theory guide the act in the reality, can it last forever, after a theoretical study to the property protection about database, the author finally submits some advice according to the status in quo in china.Though the protection of database is not a new question, we still can not find a satisfactory answer on this issue. There exist a lot of factors affecting and complicating the protection of database. So, at the end of the paper, the author will give an answer to these issues.Following the steps of science advances, we have to occasionally stride into water that we don' t know.
