On The Cash Logistics Management In Chengdu

Modern logistics industry is listed in the Chinese government's 15th plan. It will become an important industry and a new growth engine of the national economy. The logistics industry is composed of the Logistics in manufacture industry and other industry. The theory of cash logistics is a mixture of finance, management, mathematic planning and computer science.This thesis emphasized on study of how to plan the cash logistics in Chengdu city according to the theory of modern logistics. The three important factors about cost: site selection of cash logistics centers, cash transportation and cash inventory storage were studied from the aspect of reducing the cost.In chapter one, the author introduced the present situation of cash logistics abroad, home and in Chengdu city. There were many successful experiences of cash logistics in other countries. While in China, the cash logistics has been started late and are developing slowly.In chapter two, the author studied the cash logistics theoretically. Firstly, the necessity of studying cash logistics was analyzed. Secondly, the author explained the theory of cash management. Then, the author introduced the concept of cash logistics by combining the concept of cash with the American Logistics Industry Association's definition of logistics. After that, the relevant theory and method of site selection of cash logistics centers, transportation route, schedule planning and inventory storage problem were analyzed.In chapter three, the author established cash logistics models in Chengdu by using foresaid principles and methods.In chapter four, the author realized three model on computer by using Spread Sheet's method, calling the functions and commands in Excel. In the end, the author analyzed the result of these models and direction of further study. The author suggested that the authority should relax the control of cash management and actively advance the legal reform at some proper time. There were two innovations in this thesis: 1. the author inherited and developed the concept of cash logistics. To prepare for the modeling of cash logistics late, Issuing warehouse and issuing fund were excluded from the concept of cash logistics. 2. The author modeled for cash logistics by using Spread Sheet method. The method has the advantage of establishing complicated models supporting management decision without coding, so it is suit these managers or researchers who have not much knowledge of computer software.
