The business relationships often depend on a large amount of special investment in manufacturing supply chain. The incomplete contract and quasi-rent that made by special investment offered the possibility for opportunism behaviors of the bargainers. Integrated property couldn't solve these problems under dynamic economic environment.The modularization is the advanced manufacturing technology that can meet the needs of economic development, The independent, innovative and standard way of information communication of modules make it has advantages in managing special investment. Three kinds of modes of the integrated technology in modularization correspond with three kinds of market competition structure, that makes the modularization used in computer manufacturing suitable for other manufacturing industries too.The module technological characteristics are analyzed at first. Three levels that the module is used in industry's product development are put forward and the real option thinking contained in modularization is explained. The module feasibility of managing special investment is expatiated. Then, the managerial structure of module technology and supply chain competing structure of module technology are derived. At last, the improvement model of incomplete contract is designed, and the suitability of solving the special-purpose investment with the improved model is analyzed.With the aggravation of economic globalization and swift development of the production technology, the technology level in products is higher and higher. More and more special investment must be involved in business relations. The application of modularization option in management special investment has extensive prospect in manufacturing.
