Enhance The Competitiveness Of The Chinese Insurance Companies

As the essence of market economy, competition penetrates the whole life cycle of the insurance company, a very important part of the market. The even fiercer competition emerging with China's entry into the WTO presents greater challenges to Chinese-funded insurance company. Facing the competition, insurance companies in China can survive and grow up or otherwise die out. Under such background, studying competitiveness of Chinese-funded insurance company has already become a great subject for sustainable development of Chinese-funded insurance company in the future.Around the issue of promoting Chinese-funded insurance company competitiveness, this dissertation carries on discussion and study deeply.First, Based on the analysis of the definition of competitiveness put forward by domestic and international scholars, this dissertation proposes the definition of competitiveness of insurance company. And the indexes of the competitiveness of insurance company are analyzed and studied.Secondly, by comparing and analyzing the main competitiveness indexes between Chinese and foreign insurance company, such as solvency, profit-ability and market concentration degree etc, the dissertation draws enormous disparity in the competitiveness indexes of Chinese-funded insurance company.Then the author analyses policy factors and inside factors influencing competitiveness of Chinese-funded insurance company, and draws a conclusion that Chinese-funded insurance company has lagged behind in these respects which influences the promotion of competitiveness seriously.Finally, the author proposes comprehensive measures to promote competitiveness of Chinese-funded insurance company from the following aspects: adjusting insurance industrial policy, helping insurance company enter stock market etc, tO promote competitiveness of the Chinese-funded insurance company.
