Study. The Lutianhua (group) Company Environmental Performance Management System

As human society develops into modern time, it has created unprecedented material and spiritual civilizations, whereas a series of environmental problems have occurred. With China's entry into WTO and economic globalization, we have achieved breath-taking speed as well as fruitful returns of economic growth. However, at the same time we suffer from serious environmental problems as most developing countries do.The environmental problems are, as a consensus of most experts in environmental research field, essentially due to the drastically higher speed of resources demand by economic growth compared with speed of resources (plus its substitutes) regeneration. Therefore, environmental effect management should be given priority in most enterprise. This thesis studies the development history and current situation of the environmental management of Lu Tian Hua Group Inc. which has gone through three stages: indifference,afterward solution,and precaution in advance.Nowadays this company has run into the stage of "precaution in advance". However, it lacks research and practice in how to carry out environmental effect management and achieve economic profits of enterprise as well as social benefits. This thesis introduces the concept of environmental effect management and brings forward the idea of establishing a systemic and organized environmental management system. ·Inject the concept of sustainable development into the top leading group. ·Prepare a "mission book" for policy target. ·Employee education. ·Establish a strategy combined by sustainable development and daily operation. ·Invite customers and suppliers into the sustainable development strategy.Through the positive research on environmental effect management of both domestic and foreign enterprises, one can find that after effective environmental effect management, the enterprises will no longer regard the payout in environment as their burden, instead, they will take an active role in the management process to improve their images and economic benefits.This thesis consists of five chapters as the following:Chapter One introduces the development history and current situation of Lu Tian Hua Group Inc.Chapter Two discusses some basic concepts of environment and environmental effect management as well as the enterprise's aim and effect of environmental effect management. Chapter Three introduces and discusses some related concepts of environmental effect management system and the corresponding research and development situation, especially ISO14031 environmental effect management system which is currently popular in foreign countries. It indicates that environmental effect management system directed by ISO14031 will help the enterprises improve their management level and achieve sustainable development.Chapter Four introduces development history, current situation and existing problems of environmental management of Lu Tian Hua.Chapter Five verifies the necessity for Lu Tian Hua to establish environmental effect management system; introduces the contents of this system and indicates the further development direction. Chapter Six is the conclusion.
