Development And Steering Of The Theory Of Scientific Rationality

The rationality of science problem is the core problem of philosophy .of science study. From the certain meaning, all problems in philosophy of science can reduce to the rationality of science problem. The theoretical research of rationality of science in Western philosophy of science experiences a long period of time of development and many conversions, see from rational viewpoint, its development and turns suffer from the absolute rationality theories of the absolute doctrine, the opposite rationality theories of the opposite doctrine, doubt theories to reconstruction ,of four main stages. This paper begins with the four main stages of development and turns in rationality of science, in order to master the whole theoretical development process. On the base of rational reflection on Western science rationality, we make a conclusion, the key that explain and maintain rationality of science is, we must come back the base ?the rationality of science,must commence from science activity oneself, contacting with rationality of science purpose,and explain the rationality of science by the collectivity of the science practice activity that science common is engaged in, to be used as the new study on rationality of science development and the turns in rationality of science.
