After the reform for more than ten years, the system of Chinese old-age insurance in enterprise achieved greatly. But at the same time there are a great deal of difficulty and question too. This text tries to study the question and seek the profound reasons of different contradictions from the standing of sustainable development.China is a populous developing country. Improving economic operational efficiency is quite central task in China over a long time. So the system of Chinese old-age insurance in enterprise should function not only as one social stability device but also favorable to economic growth. It is necessary to increase micro benefit, vigor and development potentiality of economic entity for promoting economic growth. Therefore, we should establish the social environment of fair competition, fully give play to the role of market mechanism, lighten enterprise's overweight burden, and improve enterprise's efficiency.But there are sorts of defects in the current system of Chinese old-age insurance in enterprise. For example, unclear responsibility, overweight burden in enterprise endowment insurance; high rate, unreasonable funding way, difficulty to give play to enterprise comparative advantage, single level , development slowly of additional old-age insurance in enterprise, coverage not completely, unfair competition environment, low socialized degree, heavy social burden of enterprise and so on.This essay proposes several suggestions pointing the defects of the system of Chinese old-age insurance in enterprise. First, define the responsibility of the government and enterprise and lighten enterprise's old-age insurance burden. Second, increase income and economize on spending balanced fund and reduce enterprise insurance premium rate of supporting parents. Third, reform the way of raising fund, such as funding the basic old-age insurance with the tax revenue. Fourth, optimize additional old-age insurance system and develop additional old-age insurance in enterprise quickly. Fifth, raise the status in the old-age insurance work of enterprise. Finally, improve the socialized degree of management service of social insurance and lighten the affairs burdens of enterprises further.
