| With the development of financial technology and market economy, securities investment fund has become strong part of financial market and hi-technology industry. As be shown by foreign practice experience in the past century, securities investment fund achieved huge investment performance.China's securities market experienced 10 years development, and became an important part of capital market. Since the publishing of "securities investment fund management rules" on November 14 1997,China's securities investment fund step into normal developing period. To the date of September 2003,there are 82 funds in Shengzheng and Shanghai stock markets altogether, including 54 enclosed funds and 28 opened funds. Totally asset is beyond 1500 hundred millions yuan.Evaluation of securities investment fund is a new job in western countries, which consists of assessing and comparing performance, returns and risk of each fund. Evaluation of fund is the basis of assessing machinery investors, also is reference to selecting funds.China's securities investment fund boomed for the past 5 years. Domestic researchers explored actively in the theory and methodology of evaluating funds, But the evaluation system of funds is not perfect, and there is no reasonable evaluation basis for totally analysis.
