Since realized unification of the north and south in 1975, the modernize cause becomes the goal which Vietnamese Communist party and the Vietnamese people struggle together. This thesis starts with the social economic situation of Vietnam at initial stage of unification, regarding innovation in Vietnam as the masterstroke, also inspecting the practice content and effect of Vietnam modernization construction after unification by way of double angle of history and reality. Thesis deems that it sames to other developing courtries, modernize cause in Vietnam after its unification is also exists a problem of route chioce, under restriction of practical experience, political factor and great international environment, the route choice of modernization construction in Vietnam is a process full of the tortuous, it is indicate Vietnamese leaders change to the reason and reality further in the understanding with the strategic national development of the modernization when innovation route is finally adopt in the 80's last century. As the basic way to realize national modernized goal, the innovation of Vietnam is an overall practice which includes the economy, politics, society, it is a course of opening and meeting the needs of the world, exploring and studying constantly constantly too. Practice indicates that through innovation for twenty years, Vietnam, a country in Indochina Peninsula, emerging rapidly, is now becoming another successful model gradually for developing country in modernize construction gradually.
