The practical application of design management in enterprises is researched on the basis of the projects of air-conditioners, 2003 in Jiangsu Chunlan Stock Company (Stock Company ) of refrigerating equipments. The starting-point of the setting-up of the pattern ofdesign management--standardization of reality and schematization of future is pointedout. The main content of the pattern establishment is looked as to balance the sensibility and rationality among enterprises, consumers and designers, and to take the correlation as the situation of enterprises development.Besides, a classification of characteristics of consumers, enterprises and designers in term of experience, rationality and development is put forward. And from the angle of the theory and practical skills of design management, the reasons, approaches, and significance of the application of design management are discussed. Furthermore, the necessity of the application in Stock Company is emphasized through the comparison application in Stock company and those which have adopted design management.The pattern of design management is established and factors and characteristics of this pattern are analyzed. Meanwhile, the practical value of the pattern in Stock Company is also analyzed from such aspects as disposition of resources, building and maintenance of brand. To bring design management into play, several requirements are put forward to design managers.
