Competitiveness Of China's Banking Industry Econometric Research

In 2006 our country ' s financial system will be opened to foreign Countries, but there are many questions to Chinese banks now. How to deal with the foreign banks challenges becomes the urgent problem to Chinese banks. Based on the theory of industrial organization and our country ' s practical circumstances,we consider a new determinant for performance_the property rights to try to find the exact effects on our bank, then come up some suggestions on our banks reform.The paper consists of four parts. Part one and part two introduce the a paradigm of structure_onduct_performance and the theory of property right and competition. Including many important factors in the frame work of industrial economics and their relations. It also introduces the importances of ownership and competition. In the part three, I mainly analyse the market structure, market conduct and marketPerformance in Chinese banks. After this, I analyse our banks' present situation and compared with foreign banks.
