China's Current Income Distribution Research

After 20 years' innovation and development, huge changes have happened in our economy society. The national economy has been developing rapidly. People's income has risen to a high level. At the same time the national income gap became wider. Even this appearance has affected the stability of the society and national economy seriously. The widening of people's income gap has become the hot spots of social and economic life in our country. Both our government and the theoreticians are trying their best to find solutions of this problem. This essay, on the basis of analyzing the present situation and causes of the widening of people's income gap and the effect on society, through comparative analysis , micro-analysis, macro-analysis and integration of theory and practice, tries to explore the methods to relieve the widening of people's income gap.This essay expounds basic theories on income distribution at the beginning. It summarizes the development and status quo of these theories, and introduces some basic conceptions. People's income is a complicated problem to study. Firstly, the evolution of national income structure and characteristics of income gap are reviewed. Secondly, through analyzing in depth the income gap between urban residents and rural residents, the income gap between urban residents, the income gap between the rural residents, reasonable judgments are made about the status quo on the widening of people's income gap and its causes. National income is an important part of economic society. It is relative to the increase in economy. Introducing Gini coefficient as a measure to national income gap, modeling-methods are adopted toresearch the relationship between national income and economic growth. Also the "Counter-U Theory" is tested. Finally, in the view of the problems caused by the widening of people's income gap and the conditions of our country, some effective measures are put forward to minimize the income gap.
