The main focus of this paper is how to apply the lease marketing method in the TV transmitter industry.First, the paper compares the concepts and characteristics of operating lease and finance lease. And then generalizes the benefits of lease model for the transmitter manufacturers. Second, the paper analyses the macro-environment and competitive situation of TV transmitter industry. With the coming of digital times, there exists emerging need to upgrade the ground transmission standards which brings both challenges and opportunities to the TV transmitter manufacturers. Thirdly, this paper evaluates the feasibility of applying lease marketing to the TV transmitter manufacturers from the aspects of macro-environment, market prospects, risk control and attractiveness of lease marketing to both TV transmitter manufacturers and TV stations. Then the paper arrivals at a conclusion that the application of lease marketing to TV transmitter market is a feasible alternative. If TV transmitter manufacturers apply this marketing strategy, they might avoid traditional rnarket competition and attain strategic superiority. The last part of the paper discusses the operating model of applying lease marketing to TV transmitter manufacturers, proposes a workable lease-marketing model for TV transmitter manufacturers at present and schemes out a lease-marketing plan for BBEF Science and Technology Co. Ltd.
