Mao Zedong Thought, The Living Soul And Hunan Culture

All the correct thought theory cannot leave the road of human culture development. As a primary theoretic achievement of Marxism's chinalizing, Mao Zedong Thought cannot either. Though its most direct and important source is Marxism-Leninism, it also roots deeply the matchless rich soil, Chinese culture. Mao Zedong Thought is a great theory and close combination of Marxism and Chinese traditional culture's essence in the practice of China revolution and construction.Through analyzing the elements of Huxiang Culture in the live spirit of Mao Zedong Thought, this article tries to find out the relationship of Huxiang Culture and the live spirit Mao Zedong Thought: seeking truth from facts and "ji shi qiong li", the mass route and "min wei bang ben", independence and the sense of patriotic, reveals that the live spirit of Mao Zedong Thought has inherited and exceeded Huxiang Culture; and analyzes why the live spirit of Mao Zedong Thought goes beyond Huxiang Culture. At last, this article summarizes a few revelations: The close relationship between Mao Zedong Thought and Chinese traditional culture is an important characteristic of Mao Zedong Thought; only when Marxism combines with Chinese traditional culture, it'll show its strong life force; the development of anyone's thought must have something to do with a certain historical and cultural background; the view of denying or affirming Chinese traditional culture completely cannot come into existence.
