The Internet which has been popularizing since the end of last century is now having a wide and deep impact on the human living style. On one hand, the internet improves our lives greatly, on the other hand, it violently challenges the present legal system . One of the important challenged fields lies in the copyrights . Facing the challenge, most countries in the world have been adjusting or improving their copyright legal system on network.The whole thesis include an introductory part and five subject-oriented parts, with approximately 3,4000 words in aggregate.The introductory part briefly introduces the influence of Internet Technology on traditional copyright system, and points out that the Internet Technology cannot move the existing copyright legal system. Then basing on the interest balancing doctrine, it points out that we should not only support the expansion of copyright on Internet, but also limit it appropriately.In the first chapter, the author firstly gives the definition of Works on Internet, and then introduces some new characteristics of Works on Internet comparing with the traditional works. At the end of this part, the author analyzes the copyrightability of Works on Internet.The second chapter amplifies the expansion of copyright under the condition of Internet.In the third chapter, the article lays much stress on the limitation on copyright of Internet Works.The fourth chapter firstly tells the definition for Act of Infringement on Internet Works, and then enumerates the classifications of it. This part amplifies the liabilities for infringement on Internet Works.In the last part, the author offer a proposal on how to improve the legal protection for the copyrights on Internet.
