Product Defects Identified In The European Product Liability Law Rules And Its Implications For China

This essay aimed at getting some useful experiences from European countries.From the perspective of comparative laws, this essay analyzed the laws about productdefects in Europe and compared it to the Chinese laws. The author hoped this couldhelp china perfect its own laws and regulations.This essay is divided in six parts. The first four parts are the introduction of theEuropean product defect rules. It included the product defect rules in "The Europeanproduct liability directive", those relevant rules in UN countries (taking Britain,France and German as examples), and the new development of the product defectrules in Europe. And the evaluation of the European product defect rules. The fifthpart analyzed the flaws of the relevant laws in china. The sixth part is mainly aboutthe author's opinion. The author put forth five suggestions.
