"the Analects Of Confucius" Harmony "ideas And Building A Socialist Harmonious Society

The harmony is the core of Confucius' thoughts. Confucian Analects is a book which is recorded Confucius and his students' words and deeds. It is manifested Confucius' thoughts centrally. Confucian Analects has made a penetrating analysis and explanation about harmonious thought. The harmonious thought has plenty of connotations. It consists of harmonious individual's body and mind, harmonious families, harmonious society and so on. Confucian Analects points out that we must obey the rule of "harmony but different", and take the method of "the benevolent governance and moral education ",and through the way of "govern the nation by etiquette ", and achieve the harmonious society.We proposed the mission of constructing socialism harmonious society clearly in the 4^th Plenary Session 16^th Party Central Committee. Its basic connotation includes: democracy and rule of law, equality and justice, honesty, credibility and fraternity, vigor, orderly stability, harmonious coexistence of human being and nature. The construction of socialism harmonious society is an important theoretical innovation of the CPC members. It is enrichment and development Marxist theory concerning the construction of socialism society. The harmonious thoughts in Confucian Analects still are of important significance for constructing socialism harmonious society. We will discriminatingly inherit and draw lessons from the harmonious thoughts in Confucian Analects. We must draw lessons from "harmonious but different" to handle domestic and international relations, and from "benevolent governance and moral education" to improve the morals, and from "govern the nation by etiquette" to improve the legal system. We must employ the traditional culture to substantiate the theory of socialism harmonious society, and to guide our practice.
