With the development of the society, it's often required to examine the type and date of writing ink in the documents relate to criminal, economical or civil cases. So the identity of ball point pen ink is very important for forensic science. Currently, how to identify the writing-date of ball-pen ink has become the hotspot problem in forensic science, and how to identify the type of ball-pen ink is the most important part, it is the prerequisite of identifying writing-date. So it has very importance practical meanings to identify the type of ball-pen ink with chromatography. The paper include four parts:Chapter one analyzed the importance ,the development and practice of ink identify of ballpoint pens, such as TLC(thin layer chromatography),GC(gas chromatography),CE(capillary electrophoresis),It introduce the major components of inks and theory.Chapter two systematical analyzed on the blue ball point pens writing inks with CE, after the optimization of the separation conditions, analyzed 83 various blue ball-pen ink produced by various country or area.. Then classify the ball points pens into ten classes.Chapter three analyzed on the black ball points pen writing inks with CE, all 46 black ballpoints pen collected from different factories in china and foreign were distinguished, based on the migration time the peak of the main component and maximum wavelength of the correspond dyes Chapter four analyzed on the red ball points pen writing inks with CE, all 14 red ballpoints pen collected from different factories in china and foreign were distinguished, based on the dyes of the red ball points pen, then classify the ball-pens into five classes.
