Our country detection power is largely in the hands of the police. In the early days of liberation, because of the police authorities were carrying on the vital role of the class struggle, the police have been given greater powers. However, the police detection power has been defined as the right of judicial power in a long time and the police are also defined as the judiciary. Thus, our police detection power is out of judicial control. In such circumstance, the police detection power is very strong and is lack of control. In recent years, issues about the power violates civil rights often arise. "The vicious incident with the police is often heard. Many cases which are only appeared in the newspaper but also sensational appeared in our country, including the cases of shooting to kill, virgin prostituted, Professor intercourse with prostitute, the husband and wife looked bawdry discs and a series of tragedies which urge the abolition of the detention and repatriation system .In fact, these cases exposed by the media are only the tip of the iceberg. Others as abusing of power, corruption, bribes, extorting confessions by torture, maltreating the masses, overcharging fines, using the illegal firearms, interfering with economic disputes, protecting and indulging criminals were happened repeatedly. Although the Ministry of Public Security issue repeated orders, these incidents always happen. "Correctly understanding and handling the problems of police detection powers is a top priority task.This paper attempts to raise some views about controlling the power of the police detection power. First, we need to know some basic things of the police detection power and why we have to control the power. Then, we must understand how to weigh the values when we control the powers. We also have to analyze our present situation about controlling. Finally, we will try to give some suggestions of controlling our police detection power.
