With the comedown of the Confucionism and the rise of the Buddism, the controversy between the Confucianism and the Buddism turned into the union of the Confucianism and the Taoism to repulse the Buddism. In the Sui and Tang Dynasty, the Confucianism , the Buddism and the Taoism put up an heat argument on public. The topic of their argument developed from the political situation to the thought connotation and from the ethics to the philosophy as the process went on. The competition of the thought promotes the theoretical developments and perfection of the Confucianism , the Taoism and the Buddism separately. In this period , they tended to melt with each other and constructed the basic frame and the main thought elements of the Sui and Tang Dynasties, which promoted the prosperity and developments of the academics of this time. The three doctrines headed for the road of the theory of human mind based on their competition and melting together, which made good theoretical preparations for the birth of the neo-Confucianism in the Song and Ming Dynasties.
