Interpretation Of Rawls's Public Reason

John Rawts'public reason is the ideal model of the orderly and democratic society.The expressing form and the basic content of public reason are the important components of democratic society. The public reason is concerned with the citizens'understanding model of democratic society and their explanation of democratic politics. John Rawts'demonstration of the public reason is based on that the real form of democratic society is the reasonable multi-structure, the democratic society consists of many kinds of reasonable theory, such as the religion theory, the complex composed by the interweaving and conflict of philosophy and morality, and the democratic society is the standardized expression of the liberalism culture. In democratic society, if citizens are directed by the unique religion theory, philosophy theory and morality theory, they couldn't hold the identical view on the basic political issues, let alone understanding each other. When the basic problem of the democratic and political society couldn't be solved, the problems of the citizens are how to solve the problem reasonable and what is the basic idea of solving the problem. As a result, John Rawts holds the view that we should use public reason to replace the truth and justice proposed by the reansonable theory in order to make the citizens to reach mutual understanding and trust.In my opinion, I think the core idea of John Rawts'public reason is that when the citizens carry out the discussion about the basic politics and justice problem of the constitutional and democratic society, the public reason offers the citizens their common political ambition, principle, standard, values and other common political beliefs, thus bridging the citizens'gap on the philosophy, morality and religion and eventually making them reach their mutual political understanding. In short , John Rawts'public reason is the theory that the citizens with freedom and equality adopt when they reach the common political senses of the democratic society,and it is the public reasoning principle ,which itself and its means are recognized by the citizens. The public quality of the reason guarantees the reasonability of the justice principle. And John Rawts'public reason offers the rational citizens with the common political ambition the obligation of appealing to the public reason consciously when they are involved in the basic political problems. And the public reason should be the obligation that every citizen with freedom and equality should carry out, or else the debate of the public politics could hardly reach a common sense without the public reason, even making the society face the threaten to be divided and unrest.John Rawts'public reason is inclusive. Unless the situation that the reasonable theory has conflict with the democratic system of the democratic society appears, otherwise, the public reason neither excludes the reasonable theory ,such as the religion theory, philosophy theory and morality theory, nor criticizes them, which has basic requirements that the reasonable theory should accept the basic political issue of the fairness and justice. In every real democratic society, the democratic thoughts that lead the main trend have their own features, even completely different. For example, Europe and U.S.A., which are both in the western society, and Japan and India, both of them are eastern countries. All of them can find their own public reason that suits their own democratic society. John Rawts believes that although the democratic beliefs in each democratic society are immensely different, such as the socialism democracy and the capitalism democracy, the pursuit to the public reason of each democratic society should become and possibly become the common care of all these kinds of democratic societies. In a sense, John Rawts'political liberalism based on the public reason is the third power that bridges the gap between the socialism democracy and the capitalism democracy. John Rawts'ides is far beyond the quarrel of people between the socialism democracy and the capitalism democracy, and it is not absolute. It sets the common political ambition and the common sense of political justice that the citizens in the democratic society can reach ,thus leading the whole world to get rid of the prejudice of ideology and making every citizen with freedom and equality become the citizen of the world and proceed toward the permanent peace.
