Rawls Public Rational Thought Research

Public rationality is John rawls at the end of the 20 th century in his book "political liberalism",put forward an important idea,it is mainly for citizens to provide certain guidance and explore in the field of public principle.Its thought essence is the basic political equality of citizen in a democratic society and discussed the problems such as justice,public rationality will provide these citizen common political ideal,standards,principles and common political beliefs such as value at the same time,the citizens in philosophy,religion,integrating moral disagreements,and finally makes a kind of public political consensus of all citizens.Public rational thinking is,of course,as a sign of rawls thought transformation,from moral philosophy to political constructivism,rawls' s public reason is the justice idea into practice provides a kind of procedural safeguards.Therefore,parsing rawls' s public rational thought to understand political liberalism thought has the vital significance.This article uses three chapters to analyze the essence of Rawls' public rational thought.The first chapter starts from the theoretical source of public reason,and explains the views of Hobbes,Locke,Rousseau and Kant on public reason,and explains the development process of public reason and the influence on later generations from this angle.The second chapter focuses on the connotation,characteristics and objectives of public reason in order to better understand Rawls' public reason.In the third chapter,in the third chapter,we mainly discuss the value and limitation of public reason in the process of social practice,and the reference significance of building a harmonious society in China.Finally,the conclusion will be concluded.
