The Democratic Values ​​of Individual Freedom

Whether in the western developed countries,or in socialist China, democracy is always a hot issue.concened by the academic researcher. Democracy originated firstly in Westesten countries as political doctrine has relatively mature systems and perfect mechanisms, It is significant to study the democracy ,especailly the freedom which is one of cores of the democracy in the history of western thinking. What I have mainly clarifid in the preface is that the basis of the reaserch methodology:the individualism corresponding to the collectivism,and the object of study : Modern Western classical writers of the classics, and the meaning of my study.In the main part, I carefully annotated and analyzed the free and democratic history of the Western classical writers:Locker, Montesquieu, Rousseau, Burke, Paine. Tuokeweier, Bentham, Mill on the idea of individual liberty, with particular attention to them Involved in the issue of democracy on the idea of individual freedom. I made the summary and the appraisal to them in the following question: the relationship between individual independence and personal interest , the relationship between minority and majority ,the relationship between democracy and dictatorship, freedom and equal relations, revolutionary and reform relations, individual and other people's relations, individual and national relations and so on.Finally,I summarized the strengths and weaknesses of the liberal thinking.Democracy is not only a question of freedom ,but a question of equality, Pointing out the significance of individual freedom to build of democratic politics.
