U.s. Futures Fund Regulatory Model Study And Learn

The"Futures Funds"is a type of fund which invests in derivatives such as futures, forward and options.Since the futures funds have the characters of both future and fund, the regulations to the securities market and futures market remarkably influences foundation and developments of the futures funds.This paper divides into four parts:Firstly, this paper introduces basic concepts of Futures Funds and its characters. Secondly, it discusses not only the root and rapid development of the USA futures funds industry, but also the reform of the regulation structure which is demonstrated in the"Blueprint for a Modernized Financial Regulatory Structure". Thirdly, this paper explores the problems of the Chinese Futures Funds industry with the analysis of its history and the ongoing situation. Last but not least, this paper makes recommendations and advices to promote the Futures Funds industry in China reference with the US practice.
