Hobbes, the famous British philosopher, political thinker and materialism, modern Western political science theory, one of the pioneers. Hobbes's ideas whether it is the later Locke, Montesquieu, or Hume, Kant have all from his groundbreaking research to absorb nutrients, so hailed as the originator of liberal thought. Hobbesian state of nature broke through the description of our predecessors, built a mutual enemy of everyone, in fear of the natural state, which requires natural law, social contract theory of binding for the protection of security, the need human reason to control it.By natural law, social contract theory and the theory of human nature of his liberal ideas constitute the theoretical foundation, and finally end-result of the demands put on the peace, for the protection of society in an orderly fashion. Hobbes's discussion of liberal ideas and different from their predecessors, the definition of freedom is the barrier does not exist outside the state, this leads to his concept of civil liberties and national sovereignty under the concept of freedom.At present, our country to promote harmonious society and building political civilization of socialism, democracy is particularly important, liberal thought on the development of democracy I had enlightenment. Liberal thought in the concept of civil liberties, civic education for our enlightenment, we should actively carry out civic education to build a rational civil society. Liberal thought stressed the inviolability of personal freedom, our democratic development should also integrate equality and freedom of ideas, protection of individual freedom, improve democracy.
