After independence, India has been pursuing to become a powerful country and also taking some activities and measures to reach this goal. During the cold war, Indian realized the dream of being powerful by diplomatic strategy to the south Asian. The strategy included not only economic aid, international responsibility, but also the chauvinism and the regional hegemony. After the cold war, India changed its diplomatic strategy, which emphasized a good-neighborly, economic and equal diplomacy.The change of Indian diplomacy is the result of the complex international factors and the contradictions of the domestic factors, which has profound background of the times and domestic situation.The paper will study from the change of the Indian south Asian diplomatic strategy. From the international and domestic point of view, it will analyze its influences. In the end, it will forecast the future of the Indian south Asian diplomatic strategy.
