On The Reasons For The Formation And Development Of A Participatory Political Culture In The United States

Political culture plays an important role in maintaining and developing democratic system in a country. Especially,the formation of participatory political culture,it provide a good environment to maintain a country's democratic system. After discussing scholar's different views on the political culture,the paper analyses characteristics of American political culture,then,the paper provides details on core values that contained in American political culture,it will be more conducive to explore the reasons.As a national political culture is a kind of subjective tendency of political phenomena that formed in the long-term political, economic, and cultural environment in a country,so,there are diverse factors that affects the subjective tendency,this article seeks to explore the reasons from various levels,especially the levels of history and system,including political life,Puritanism,immigration status,system design and so on.Meanwhile,by analyzing the American political culture,we can see that political culture is not static,we must cultivate a political cultural that fit with democratic system,because there exists reinforcing relationship between system and culture,it is important to cultivate political culture of participation in our country,this paper also discuss how to do this.
