Preschool education is a basic process in body's development, the foundation of the basic education, and the beginning of the whole life education, it is a critical period not only to educate the good habits of children, but also set the stage for the school education to children. Preschool education is an important constituent of the national education system, it has essential meaning and value to promote the overall health of individual development, consolidate and improve the quality of compulsory education, and enhance the national quality. With the development of society and people's awareness of pre-education, the importance of the preschool education becoming more and more evident. Government is paying more attention to it.With the concern to the preschool education of society, people on the growing demand for high-quality preschool education. A team of High-quality teachers are required to ensure the high-quality preschool education. Conform to this trend of social develop, the requirements for the teacher of the kindergarten are beyond simple care and education of rough. A higher technique level is required for kindergarten teachers, undergraduates in major of Preschool Education are on growing demanded. The major of Preschool Education in higher school is a most important institution to educate kindergarten teachers. We must have a team of high technique level kindergarten teachers to ensure the realization of the important mission of preschool education. Therefore, it is essential to take concern and have a research to the teaching of the Preschool Education major in higher school.All of the six colleges offer the major of Preschool Education in Shaanxi province have been selected in this research (Shaanxi Normal University,Xi'an University of Arts and Science,Baoji University of Arts and Science,Xianyang Normal University,Ankang University,Tibet University for Nationalities), and 6 department heads, 56 teachers and 544 college students in all are contained. In order to reflect the teaching of the Preschool Education major in higher school, the research has been divided into several departments followed:teaching resources allocation, teaching level, content, method and effect, present teaching textbooks and relationship between students and teachers of the Preschool Education major in higher school. According to the questionnaire surveys and interviews, present situation of the Preschool Education major in Shaanxi higher schools is realized, existing experiences and problems can be found in the statistics and analysis, some corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.Conclusions of this research:Current achievements of teaching in Preschool Education of universities in Shaanxi province:1,The university's emphasis on the degree of universal preschool education has improved;2,Colleges and universities teaching resources are being gradually improved and completed;3,The teachers'qualification standard of preschool education is being gradually improved;4,Teachers are concern about diversity of students in teaching, they begin to change from the simple transmission of knowledge to concert on the ability,social adaptation and personality development of students.Teaching problems of higher school Preschool Education in Shaanxi province:1,Lacking of teaching resources allocation; 2,Professional level of the teachers should be improved;3,Teachers and students are not content with present teaching textbooks;4,Teaching contents are not timely renews, pertinence of the major is not strong enough; 5,Fixed in the form of teaching methods, low teacher-student interaction;6,Difficult to evaluate teaching effectiveness, teacher-student relationship is not optimistic.Countermeasures and suggestions put forward in this research:1,Increasing capital investment, improving teaching conditions; 2,Strengthening the contribution of teachers;3,Calling for build the high quality textbooks;4,Renewing teaching contents timely, strengthening the pertinence of the major teaching;5,Flexible teaching methods, attention to classroom time allocation;6,Establishing a scientific evaluation system of teaching, improving teacher-student relationship.
