A Study On The Project Of "Eagle Flight" With Migrant Workers

With the development of reformation and opening policy, the rural populationgradually immigrates to the city. After the1990s, the scale of Chinese floatingpopulation is increasing, at the same time, the structure has changed significantly.Floating population by individual flow gradually shifted to the family flow, and alarge number of migrant workers children follow their parents to the city. As aconsequence, the Suiqian children problem produced, especially these Suiqianchildren in the compulsory education stage who’s social adaptation problem. On theexisting research, scholars Suiqian children from a macro perspective of the system,provides a lot of useful ideas to rely on the strength of the government to solve thetraditional education problem of Suiqian children, but the research about the microlevel of practice seems little. On the other hand, as the development of professionalsocial work and social institutions in China, social work agency has advantages toslove Suiqian children issues. The service provided to migrant workers and Suiqianchildren is being paid more and more attention.The study used participant observation, non-structured interview and the caseinterview method, from a practical point of view of Jiangsu province public venturecapital project------“eagles fly” that about extracurricular life mode of Suiqianchildren of the migrant workers.Through field research, I understood the concept andmethod of operation, mode, integrate the resources of the organization of the projectcooperation mode;what’s more,I had expected to do the corresponding evaluation andresearch about the short-term goals and the long-term goals of the “eagles fly” project.In addition, as a member of the project team of volunteers, I had studied the projectbased on the theory and improving the ability of the strengths perspective andAmartya�'sen.And analysis the service whether can improve the ability of Suiqianchildren; enhancing which ability of suiqian children and the reason of it;and theresult of analysis is that the project can provide effective services to Suiqianchildren’s extracurricular life,the service could greatly improve the ability of Suiqianchildren.The specific performance was that:developing good study habits andimproving the consciousness of discipline which were helpful to enhance the learningability；having some hobbies and made good friends can expand the cope ofinterpersonal communication; learning how to communicate with others can improveparent-child relationship．Therefore，the project had basically achieved the goals thatpromote the Suiqian children’s ability．At the same time, the project had the followingproblems: the benefiticiaries in number and geographical coverage was narrow; heactivity of the strengths perspective and enhanced ability theory, and Amartya·Sen’s theory of lifting implementation was not expected, not make full use of the openeducation method, and the innovation was also lack of professional talent and time sothat needed to be further improved.
