Chinese wushu has a long history and possesses extensiveknowledge and profound scholarship. It is not only one of theChinese traditional ethnic sports items but also builds closelinks with the development of Chinese traditional culture. Itis also a precious cultural heritage of the Chinese nation.Whereas, influenced by century-old fault in traditionalculture and multiculturalism in the west, many phenomena ofdissimilation have appeared during the revolution anddevelopment of Chinese wushu. Wushu in the form of exercise andthe marginalization of Chinese wushu are serious.This research mainly takes advantage of these methods, suchas documentary materials, questionnaires and so on, for thepurpose of investigating the status quo of integratingself-cultivation culture of wushu into its teaching in thecolleges and universities in Guizhou province to draw aconclusion, put forward suggestions for the potential problemsin the hope of imparting and inheriting real Chinese wushu andcarry forward the traditional culture. Through the analysis andinduction of related documents about “dissimilation ofChinese wushu” and “integration of self-cultivation cultureand wushu teaching” in recent years, this paper sums up thatthe phenomena of dissimilation of Chinese wushu are becomingworse, such as wushu in the form of exercise,marginalizationof culture, the deviation from nature and so on. The practicalresearch about wushu culture is little and the research aboutthe match between wushu culture and moral education of humanbeings is rarely seen.Aiming at the survey about the status quo of integrating self-cultivation culture into wushu teaching in Guizhou’scolleges and universities, many discoveries are manifested.Part of the colleges don’t develop wushu as a public requiredcourse and students’ learning purposes about wushu are diverseand their cognition about self-cultivation culture in wushu isdifferent. Most of the situations in integratingself-cultivation culture into the wushu teaching are not good,the ways of integration are mainly talking and teaching and thephysical followers are rare. The teaching resources of wushuteachers are weak and knowledge and scientific research are notwell-distributed. Influenced by multicultural shock, part ofteachers and students has deviation of ideological cognitionin the teaching and learning about self-cultivation culture inwushu.This paper is full of significance to the analysis ofintegrating self-cultivation culture in wushu into itsteaching. It can redress the phenomena of wushu’sdissimilation, cultivation of students’ moral quality and thephysical thought for a lifetime. Meanwhile, it is anothereffective way of campus moral work. So the following teachingstrategies are put forward: strengthen managerial system ofwushu teaching, develop wushu lessons about self-cultivationculture, bring the function of model teachers into full play,expand teaching methods or means and give free rein to thefunction of campus culture in second classroom.
