Wushu Culture In Yuan Zaju

Wushu culture is gradually enriched on the basis of learning from other cultural factors, so whenexamining martial arts culture just from the itself, we may fall into such a situation ‘"do not know the truth,just because in this mountain,". Therefore, the research should be made from the perspective the variouscultures related to martial arts. Literary works is one of the carriers, which can reflect the characteristics ofculture of its own era from different levels, such as the prose of the pre-Qin and the poetry of Han Dynasty,followed by poem of Tang and Song, the novels of the Ming and Qing dynasties which all reflects thesocial background of their own era. Mr. Wang Guowei remarked in‘Song and Yuan Drama History’:"literati express and describe their feelings, the eras’ changing, the truth and their intelligence in theirworks."This thesis employs the method of literature review and logical analysis method to analyze and studythe content of martial Culture in Zaju of the Yuan dynasty.The so called ‘Wushu culture in Yuan Zaju’ is not completely and carefully integratedinto the micro level of the whole drama of the Yuan Dynasty. There are two reasons for thisphenomenon: the first reason is that this is a very huge project that requires a lot of historian’sdata and literature data as the foundation; Secondly, the author of the stock of knowledge andresearch capacity is also very limited and can not take care of every aspect. This article putsthe factors related with the Wushu culture reflected in the drama works into discussion from amacro point of view, but only several prominent aspects are studied deeply. In addition,besides its own literary characteristics, it is also an important part of our drama. Thus, the focus may also be put on the study of Wushu culture from the aspect of drama. Therefore, thisthesis studies the Wushu culture from two aspects and four dimensions. These two aspectsrefer to the literary characteristics and drama characteristics; the four dimensions refer tochivalrous persons, Wushu virtues, weapons and Wushu which are all reflected in Yuan Zaju.The chivalrous persons and Wushu virtues are not very often reflected, most of them arereflected in the form of historical play. It is necessary to point out that there is an overlap ofthe patterns of chivalrous persons and Wushu virtues in Yuan Zaju and this phenomenon is notonly reflected in the Yuan Zaju, but the two concepts themselves are repeated and overlapped.In order to explain the chivalrous persons and their martial virtues more clearly, this paperdistinguishes the two terms strictly. The main difference between the two is embodied in theaspect of "righteousness"; a chivalrous person definitely has the "righteousness" and Wushualso have the requirement for "righteousness", but the main difference between them lies inthe "ritual" constraint. Chivalrous persons are free and their behavior is not affected by thetemporal constraints, fully reflecting the will of the individual and the martial virtues are thereproduction of orthodox morality in chivalrous persons.On the basis of research in Wushu culture and the background of the literature works, thecharacteristics of Wushu culture in Yuan Zaju can be generalized.There are four correspondingcharacteristics: The life consciousness of chivalrous persons; The dStrong national feelings of Wushuvirtues; The distinctive historical traces of weapons;The simplicity of artistic features in art of Wushu.Concluded that:" logos and utensils is equal "," pay attention to the traditional "," make the past serve thepresent"," Fine the correction way ". On the basis, in combination with the historical background of theyuan Zaju and performance of wushu culture characteristic of the conclusions. Finally, come up with four advises: Society was first; Value security and tradition; Transformation of innovation; recover it’s originalsimplicity.
