In recent years, many graduates thought it’s hard to find jobs. Meantime, manymiddle school students choose to give up college entrance examination and studyabroad. These phenomenon are not isolated. Learning is a sustainable process, it isunfair to accuse college education. Talents training likes a relay race, it needs everystep connect effectively. The adolescents are at golden moment of studying. If wecan grasp the moment and achieve smooth transition from middle school to college,we will lay a solid foundation for college career and walk into the society in thefuture.America is the top destination for Chinese overseas students and also universallyaccepted the strongest education power of the world. From the beginning of20thcentury, American scholars had been conscious of the connection of education andconducted many solutions to resolve the problem. The most famous program is theAdvanced Placement Program. The senior high school student can study college levelcourse and take exams. According to the exam grades, students can get course creditin advance. Nowadays, with the growing influence of AP, there are more and moremiddle schools and colleges have got involved in AP programs. The AP exams resultshave became admission criteria of many colleges.At present, we are in a new round of basic education reform period. We will getreference from the AP Program. The AP History Program includes AP America History,AP European History and AP World History. This paper will focus on AP United StatesHistory, generally introduce and analyze its basic information and characteristics. Thispaper will also combine the reform of AP United States History which begin in2014and discover its highlight in resolving education connection problem.This paper includes five parts, includes introduction, outline of AP Program,outline of AP United States History Course and new changes, outline of AP UnitedStates History Exams and new changes and its inspiration to education connectionproblem. The introduction section of this paper sketch out the meaning of the research,research overview and research methods. The second chapter placesemphasis on the origin and development of the AP Program and distinguish features.The third chapter will introduce the course of the AP United States History, the keypoint of this chapter is the reform begin in2014, include macro themes, key conceptsand history thinking skills. The fourth chapter combines exam criteria and examquestions, it will also introduce and analyze the new changes from2015andsummarize its new characteristics, include thematic learning objectives,understanding historical sources and using history thinking skills. The last part of thepaper will learn experience from the AP United States History Program, include itsemphasis on history thinking skills and extracurricular materials. It helps studentssuccess in transition from middle schools to colleges. I think it will help to provideinspiration for the settlement of education connection problems.
