Researches about international examinations become hot issues in recent years. The author has used content analysis method to grasp the details of IGCSE and seek the main emphasis in IGCSE physics exam. Then the author quoted "overall difficulty model" from math to hold the variation of difficulty with seasons. At last she has analyzed the detailed grading rules of IGCSE physics exams. The study has revealed that the electric circuits, mechanics, thermal physics, wave were the four key points in IGCSE Physics from the year2010to2012. Questions were balanced when aggregated by year and by quarter except specific to each set of questions. For the difficulty, the questions of winter were slightly difficult than that in summer and there was a rising trend of the difficulty year by year; Questions were vary so much in the five standards for each section of the test. The detailed grading rules of Paper3are unique. The writer has found that they lay emphasis on the process though the answers such us that candidates can’t get A mark unless they score B mark or M mark at first. The rules lay emphasis on the diversity of the answers and toleration for the candidates.IGCSE exam as the end of compulsory education plays an important roles in both the selection and qualification. It seems that CIE exam board spent a lot of energy on the test. They emphasize the background knowledge of physics, the importance of scoring rules in IGCSE physics exam, as well as their thoughtful service. They are a salutary lesson to our exam reformation for our country.
